What do you do with the fenugreek powder? And the coconut bits, when does it get it incorporated into the dish?

Made the recipe and it was really good – I do need clarification – does the dish need both the ½ cup pearl onion AND 1 medium onion (sliced)> Or is it either or?

Perfect and simple recipe. The dish turned out to be really delicious. I did add half an onion thinly sliced along with the small red onions. Can’t get enough of well fried onions in a Kerala style roast. Thanks for sharing.
